A 42-year-old man, Keegan Harricharan, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Florida for laundering hundreds of thousands of dollars fraudulently obtained through federal COVID-19 relief programs to finance the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse in July 2021. The money, obtained from the PPP and EIDL programs, was used to pay other conspirators and prepare the assassination. Other individuals involved have already been sentenced, and more cases are pending. Federal authorities emphasize that the case demonstrates how fraud can support crimes that threaten democracy.

you need look no further than the recent failed attempts to liberate the Iranian people to see how poorly regime change is accomplished by assassinations.
Not to mention that the one who takes over after the murder is much more despotic and resentful than the previous one.
