I've really been enjoying Steve Barbour's takes lately #1532207, and here he is with another excellent point:

One of the things that I found most difficult to wrap my head around as I've been learning about Bitcoin is that soft forks are defended by miners.

As Barbour says here, soft forks require miners to refuse to build on blocks that violate their rules. This point gets a little tricky, but I think it is worth noting. Because it is a point that many BIP110 advocates have seemingly ignored.
