I had a professor do this in my CS discrete structures class. He already knew people were using AI, but he wanted to make a point to get them to check their work. They all got zeroes but had an opportunity to do the work correctly. He knew already the AI version of the answer was technically wrong, so when it showed up, the professor saw immediately who was using AI and who wasn't. Moral of the story is: doesn't matter what you do to find the answer, make sure you review your work before handing it in.
