Feels a bit like the western and eastern thought had the same Source.
Then at some point they slowly “forked” into a more individualistic chaintip and a more collective one.
Apologies for the inapt analogy.. but couldn’t help it

Christianity does not believe in reincarnation nor does it believe that your soul gets subsumed into the "oneness" of universe.
This is because Christianity believes that your soul is a unique and distinct creation. Its not just a replaceable or modular part that can be repurposed. It is uniquely you and will remain uniquely you forever.
As an aside, I've often pondered if this innate individuality present in Christianity not also manifest itself in various other ways between western vs eastern thought. That is to say, many easterners seem to think of the collective more than the average westerner. Another way to say it is, does Christianity ultimately become the source of "libertarian" ideas?
