Idk, people were mask Nazis for years, there's a number of names for that phenomenon. Psyops wouldn't be so common if the truth was the antidote.
Netanyahu could single handedly save earth from an asteroid tomorrow and the numbers would barely change.
Might be like a stain, depending how long it has to set, or necessitate more extreme counter ops to unwind... Or sheer exhaustion/demoralization so people capitulate and become indifferent.
But then, indifference from psyop exhaustion is useful too...
Either way, volatility seems to be trending up.
The efficacy of psyops/influence operations in the digital age is Pandora's box. Decades of geo and domestic political strategy have compressed into years, even months.
Whether that's good or bad depends on whether or not you believe people are maximally truth-seeking.
