Benjamin Netanyahu recently argued that "Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan."

His point wasn't about theology.

It was about power.

He was arguing that goodness without overwhelming military strength loses to ruthless force.

That's a coherent philosophy of history.

But it's not the New Testament.

Jesus rejected establishing His kingdom through military power.

"My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were, my servants would fight." (John 18:36)

So here's my question for Christians:

If the New Testament never commands believers to politically support the modern State of Israel, why has support for Israel become a test of Christian faith in so many churches?

Chapter.
Verse.

Not a theological system.

Not an end-times chart.

An actual command from Christ or His apostles.
