i have been baffled that he hasn't been willing to step up and be the punching bag for his company right now. is it his company or not?

He's expecting lawsuits. Everything he says will go through an attorney from now on.
Still lawyers can advise him what to say and what not to. Matt and Marty owned it yesterday time for NVK to step up.
He should stop reposting stuff and just issue formal statements through the company. Coldcard is going to get sued into oblivion which doesn't really matter because they don't have anything to go after.
What is he supposed to say? The transactions are mined. It's over.
He needs to speak up, face the music, and take responsibility. I hope he does it soon! As for him returning what he stole, I see that as impossible!
There are lots of ways to deal with something like this and none end well for NVK But the silence is deafening and that’s going to piss people off more.
