The Coldcard incident continues to be a topic of conversation within the community; we will truly learn from it.
I’ve drawn my conclusions—what about you guys?

My conclusion: if there's a way to run open/self-signed firmware on it, I'd prefer it over anything from the guys that have been trying to bank on this and dance on graves. Noting that I didn't see much comments from the Trezor guys on this though, which, if not a function of my ignorance, would speak well of them and give them a + in opti's little black book. Some people irreversibly have lost my respect this past week. Some people didn't because they already lost it prior.

Now that you mention it, I realized that too...

I didn't search for it, but I also don't remember seeing anyone quote any here. If I'm right about that, then at least we still have some mature vendors.

At least in Spanish, I haven't seen any comments about "Trezo lovers" vs. Coldcard, something that did happen the other way around previously.

Wild question: if every Bitcoin wallet made coin control mandatory before “Send,” would that create a more privacy-aware network—or just train most users to click through another warning they do not understand? What is the least harmful default?
