Few remarks

I would blend 1&2 as Athletics, it's always public funding, extremely regulated in all levels, extreme authoritarian entities

For basketball and NFL I'll add the draft system, IMO one of the most commie stuff

On the kickball I'll add the "party" friends that rule the federations and confederations around the World

And i would add Volleyball most of the calendar is National team, so heavily public funding and few club level leagues can generate revenue the other ones, you got it right, moar public funding

Absolutely, I meant to include that

I didn’t look into most other sports, like volleyball or cricket. If I have time, I’ll look into whether cricket should be on here.
