Yeah I have heard some theories about his mechanics. Intentional reduction in velocity, gaining weight etc. Might be a combination of all those things plus maybe a little dead arm. It happens to pitchers sometimes. Their arm just doesn't bounce back from start to start and it compounds over the year. They aren't hurt in the sense that they can't pitch but they just can't seem to get to that final gear.
Less burgers and more cardio for the fatie 😆
But it's incredible what a 3mph drop can scramble everything else, i remember you saying in the pod couple weeks ago, your disbelief in these power arms, Miz the other day was unhittable for 4iN in the 5th it went totally south, and the drop 2mph on average
Crazy
For selfish reasons I would like the Pirates to skip Skenes a start or two so he is fresh for Fantasy playoffs. Haha
He is on pace for 212 but obviously if he misses a start or two that changes. I am on the NO side because I think they have fallen far enough out of the wildcard now that if there is anything health related it might be worth it for them to shut him down in September.
Rob broke down some slight difference in his pitching a couple weeks back, and suggested some sort of restriction, but the 205 market is still doable 5 Ks a game
