Hi everyone,

I recently came across a market on PREDYX that has a mentioning on the top similar that they had when they implemented something called Hybrid CLOB by them. However to my surprise, this time the market doesn't even have the initial liquidity like they have across their LMSR markets.

I think it's a good move. It actually makes sense when there are more traders whose bets will become liquidity in a reverse manner. For example: if I buy a limit order of 10000 yes shares at 0.10 odds and someone buys equal number of No shares at 0.90, these will work as liquidity for each other.

Please share what do you think and is it a good move for PREDYX to implement this at this stage?

It's great if there are enough traders which I don't think they have right now.

I liked the hybrid idea but I think it was trickier to implement than they expected.

Yeah, it was kinda complicated. But now this new order book solves the complication but again execution needs to be simpler. I mean with the design. Is everything clear to you while trading there?

I won’t have time to play around with it until later

Yeah it's true. I think it'll be great for sports markets. What do you think?

reply

For the higher volume ones it should be.
