Do you believe ghosts actually exist, or do you think there is always a logical explanation behind the things people experience?

I have heard people share stories about seeing or feeling the presence of something they couldn't explain, but I have never been sure what to believe.

Have you ever seen a ghost yourself, or experienced something that made you believe they are real? I would like to hear your personal experiences if you must have had an encounter with any.

I didn’t until I read the Bible. Now I do

When it comes to feelings, it's difficult to prove existence. You can only believe.

I believe!

One of the most interesting questions I have seen on AskSN thus far! I most certainly believe in ghosts and I have had two encounters personally where in one instance I was renting a house for a short term stay. Unbeknownst to me the particular street where this house was built on top of what used to be a mass gravesite, or so the rumors went. I cannot verify that part of the story. What I can tell you is that every night I would hear voices of people outside my window or knocks on the door and there will be no one when I would investigate, not to mention waking up in the morning to find broken dishes and glasses. Yes I lived alone and didn't last more than 3 days there

I remember some spiritual masters saying that what we call “ghosts” could be souls of people who committed suicide.

It was not yet the time for the soul to depart its body, so it kinda doesn’t know what to do.

Lingering around for e.g. 20 or so years more, haunting living souls (I guess they could also be benevolent ghosts aiding living souls, but seems more rare?)

These ghosts might not even be visible phantoms as we often imagine ghosts to be like, but maybe just invading thoughts, brain fog, mental illnesses etc.

i often can't see what's right in front of me, such as wen looking for a specific item not in its usual location; similarly, the brain occasionally creates a pattern out of its surroundings in order to project to the consciousness something that's not really there or not yet there, or no longer there;

the mental brain can rationalize anything, however the physical sensing brain is only observing the effects... the mind is responsible for interpreting the effects and finding out the cause; only the causes can be addressed, not the effects (those u have to live with until the causes are corrected);

in order to correctly interpret the effects observed by the sensing brain, one shud have a clean body, clean thots, and a clear conscioussness in general;
