The official U.S. Department of Education posted a 19-second cinematic Trump montage captioned:
“No one does it like us. 🐅”
It opened with Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour warning that you cannot reason with a “tiger,” then cut directly to heroic images of Donald Trump, including MAGA imagery and his raised-fist pose.
There was one major problem:
In that scene, Churchill’s “tiger” is Hitler.
The department deleted the video and said a staffer had copied a trending TikTok format without understanding the historical reference.
That is embarrassing.
But the bigger story is that the Department of Education was making a campaign-style Trump hype video in the first place.
This was not an education-policy explainer.
It was not a departmental announcement.
It was not public-service information.
It was presidential promotional content produced and distributed through an official federal agency account.
And it fits a broader pattern:
DHS: Trump’s image beneath “DID YOU REMAIN LOYAL?” #1554867
White House: government actions increasingly packaged as Trump’s personal victories.
Education: a cinematic Trump hero montage with essentially no connection to the department’s statutory mission.
The Hitler reference may have been accidental.
The personalization of federal government communications around the president was not.
