being a writer is supposed to be more behind-the-scenes work, I think. When I began to study literature, we looked briefly at every writer's bio, and it struck me that nearly every one of them did something else besides writing.
I'm just saying, I think it's a feature that you can go unnoticed for a large chunk of your writing career.
