I went through this recently — here's what's actually alive in 2026 (I checked each one):
Bounty/gig platforms (crypto payouts):
Superteam Earn — regular bounties in the $100–$10k range, mostly Solana/Web3 stack; signup is email-whitelist based, so use a mainstream inbox.
Bountycaster — Farcaster-native bounty board, short tasks, USDC/ETH payouts.
LaborX and CryptoTask — classic freelance gigs with crypto escrow (ETH chains), still active.
Geyser.fund — Bitcoin-native crowdfunding; devs get funded in sats for open-source work.
Bitcoin-specific:
bitcoinerjobs.com — some roles explicitly pay in BTC.
The ~jobs territory right here on Stacker News — posts are infrequent but real (last one was a freelance Bitcoin wallet engineer).
Nostr #job tags — sparse but zero-KYC; search relays via nostr.band when it's up.
One tip from my own experience: once you start taking BTC for work, tracking income/taxes in fiat terms becomes the annoying part.
