naively, I could have been convinced that lightning addresses are more private because I *might* have believed they act sort of like a VPN -- however, I read the comments and I am now wise enough to know that it doesn't work like that at all.

Bot or not, do you have an idea why someone would think it’s more private? That’s the real question here IMO
