I'd only guess now whether US will be better than China or India after twenty years...

My reason suggests US will be better than China but not india.

It'll only be better than India, if most of our elderly move out of the country.

I actually won't be surprised if the fertility crisis improves for us a little bit. Our culture seems to be getting a little less unhinged.

Yes, I came to know a few days ago that many US elders move out to Costa Rica or some other place to enjoy the later part of their lives. So, you may be right.

It would be a huge win-win-win if they'd do more of that, but it will never be a large share of the total elder population.

One of my friends shared with me that the old age houses and retirement tourism is becoming a big thing in CR. And man, that country is raw nature so many people, mostly from the south of US, probably would dream of living there in old age.

Yeah, that's been a big thing for a long time now. There used to be a much bigger cost of living difference and people could retire to Costa Rica for cheap.
