- how early you zapped
- how much you zapped
- how much total zaps (positive, if downzaps > zaps the item doesn't count)
So if you zap good content early, you get more rewards. Zapping late is still better than not zapping at all, but only if it is significant. If you ever wondered why early zaps are much larger than later ones, this is why. Spreading out your zaps doesn't work though.
