This story involves a friend of a friend.

He was a tank gunner, driving on a road in Gaza. This was at the beginning of the war, relatively speaking. Suddenly the tank commander comes on the radio and says: "target 2 o'clock low, fire!" The gunner says "negative, it is a woman and some kids". The commander again orders the gunner to shoot and the gunner again refuses. A few seconds pass and then the gunner sees a flash right next to the woman. An RPG comes at the tank and just barely missed. The gunner of course immediately returned fire, killing a terrorist along with the woman and children he was hiding behind.

Think whatever you want. Some will say this is a war crime, others will understand that fighting in a city with terrorists hiding behind civilians is hell. Maybe you don't care about Israeli soldiers dying - but if you really care about the civilians maybe consider this: the best way to protect them isn't to be angry at Israeli soldiers but to make sure their government (Hamas) care more about them then about murdering Israelis.
