I'm downzapping because I don't think it's fair to call someone a scammer over a dispute about the the merits of different technologies.
This isn't "a dispute about the merits of different technologies". Justin is miseducating users about Lightning, and people who listen to him will lose their Bitcoins. This is a fact that you are not disputing: #1566749
In this context though "miseducating" does not equal "caught trying to drain lightning wallets"
Equating them is not honorable.
If he's causing people to lose their coins and profiting from it, that's bad.
If he's causing people to lose their coins and NOT profiting from it, that's even WORSE (since he can't refund their losses with his profits).
Calling him a scammer is the charitable interpretation of his actions.
Make the argument that he doesn't understand lightning or that he is a retard, by all means.
But saying he was caught trying to drain lightning wallets is deceitful.
You already agreed that Lightning has a liveness requirement. This liveness requirement prevents your Lightning wallet from being drained. Since Justin is purposely deceiving other people into letting their offline Lightning wallets get drained, how else could you interpret his post?
I caught him red handed. SN deserves to learn about this scandal.
Nah, man, you are pissed at him or whatever, but it doesn't justify calling him a scammer. There are so many real scammers we should be putting our efforts against.
This is pointless infighting and I would have ignored of but saying you caught someone trying to drain lightning wallets is way wrong.
Scoresby on fire, upholding decent morality online.
A hopeless endeavour!!
The only scammer is you by saying I said something that I didn't.
Literally got years of receipts where I tell people NOT to run mobile lightning, have fun outing yourself, scammer.
He's a scammer for many reasons, but in this particular instance, he's scamming by saying I said something I didn't.
Not a single one from me
Only scammer here is you
