When he was basically braindead and not able to form his own thoughts, the Dems supported him because his wife was basically putting out liberal messaging on his behalf.
Now that he's recovered his mind and sense of self, and has started supporting Israel, the Dems hate him.
I have to say I am impressed with how strong he has stood against all of the party hate. He has plenty of reasons to bow but refuses to do so… rare to see
