Can you give any other reason why Lightning has a liveness requirement other than to prevent your funds from being drained?...
Whether he has failed to accurately represent what liveness is for is not the same as saying he was trying to drain wallets.
Stealing peoples money is serious. Being wrong about the trust trade offs in Bitcoin is basically all of us.
