A professional visually impaired athlete came to my school and teach the fourth graders how to play bocca. I wasn’t aware that it had such an interesting history. I assumed that it was a game that was designed for blind people. Thanks for your piece

no. they used their sense of sight.

My school decided to invite this visually impaired athlete because the fourth graders were learning about the Paralympics Games as part of English lessons. Think boccia is a sport in the Paralympics
