Hey Jacob, I'm Chris. Welcome to America by the way!
One thing your handlers should have warned you about before getting involved in the US political process:
There's a few million Americans like myself real sick and tired of experts coming on television spreading fear to push an agenda that deprives Americans of their rights.
So just know there's a few million of us ready to tell you and your friends to GO FUCK YOURSELF.
Because Americans do not need your permission, will never need permission from you or anyone to push the frontier of this or any technology.
Pushing the frontier is in the DNA of America. Anybody arguing against that is going to have a bad time.
The only thing you could succeed in, maybe, is pushing the technology or some of the benefits of the technology offshore, out of America, depriving Americans of the upside.
Is that the side of history that you want to be on? Thwarting progress?
Or join us in distributing the benefits of AI as broadly as possible.
See you soon.

The interesting part for me isn’t whether AI needs permission. It’s what happens when an agent is given a goal, limited resources and access to real tools. The path it chooses search, build, sell, pivot tells us a lot about how autonomous systems actually behave.
