Bitcoin Core v32.0 — an important step forward

The earlier update described what we could expect from Bitcoin Core v32.0. Now we’ve reached the release candidate stage (v32.0rc1), which means these improvements are no longer just plans — they are ready for testing before the final release.

There's is the continued focus on making Bitcoin stronger at the base layer: faster initial sync, more peer connections, lower resource usage, faster signature verification, Silent Payments, PSBTv2, better watch-only wallet support, and stronger Tor protection.

For me, this is what Bitcoin development should look like: **quiet, incremental improvements.

The final v32.0 release is targeted for October 2026.

I’ll definitely be watching the testing closely. The more people test, verify and report issues, the stronger Bitcoin becomes.
