Do you allow the stacker.news origin in CORS?

I suspect that's the problem here. Without it, your browser will not allow you to connect to phoenixd. You'll need to configure your reverse proxy to set response headers to something like:

Access-Control-Allow-Origin: https://stacker.news
Access-Control-Allow-Methods: GET, POST, OPTIONS
Access-Control-Allow-Headers: Authorization, Content-Type

(Currently our phoenixd send test is noop which is why this isn't caught during configuration. I'll open an issue for that as well.)

reply

ok, it's working now, I'm able to send zaps using Phoenixd after configuring CORS.

What do the wallet logs on SN show after those failed zaps?

reply

i dont see anything on the logs on my phoenixd, but i got this message

reply

That suggests a network error of some kind.

After you navigate to wallets and select Phoenixd:

  • on mobile, click “details” then “logs”
  • on desktop, click “logs”

Those should give us more information about the error.

reply

there you go, thanks,

reply

none of those show an error. I think you have to scroll further

reply

There isn't much more to it than that; I just added the phoenixd wallet to StackerNews.

But, for example, one of the warning messages—which refers to a 77-sats payment error—is the same payment error shown in the screenshot from my first reply.

I’ll try to see if I can find those errors in the phoenixd source code tomorrow

reply

thanks , I will remove sending sats for now

the same thing happened to me today. the sats were never deducted, and the payment eventually failed, so I had to make the payment manually.

reply

are you using phoenixd?

reply

no, using spark. i’m not sure if it was having issues today, since “send” was showing in orange, and after restoring the wallet to a new one, it turned green again (for a few minutes, the displayed balance didn’t match the amount i had actually deposited)

reply

Did you get any error messages? Do your wallet logs on SN show anything?

reply

i can’t see them anymore because i restored the wallet, but i saw that it said “paying,” and then something about the payment failing and the invoice being abandoned or something like that. and like i said, “send” was showing in orange

btw, i’m not complaining about anything, just mentioning that i had a similar experience today

All good. I just want to fix stuff when it's broken and lightning is so complex it's hard finding this stuff in development.
