Here’s your Week 2 NFL QB Rankings — Statistical Breakdown
The numbers make this Top 9 interesting, but they also raise some questions.
What jumps out
Josh Allen: Elite efficiency. 582 yards, 5 passing TDs, zero interceptions and a 125.8 rating, plus major rushing production.
Brock Purdy: 80.4% completion and a 125.6 rating are ridiculous efficiency numbers. Only 56 attempts, however, compared with 73 for Bryce Young and 90 for Tyler Shough.
Bryce Young: The volume leader here — 648 yards and 6 TDs. That's a strong statistical argument for being near the top.
Drew Lock: The sleeper stat line. 4 TDs, zero INTs and a league-leading 127.3 passer rating among these names. His smaller sample matters, though.
Dak Prescott: 6 TDs, only 1 INT and a 117.1 rating. His Week 2 performance also helped Dallas beat Washington 37–20, while he passed Tony Romo for the Cowboys' career touchdown-pass record.
Tyler Shough: 662 passing yards is the highest total in this group, but his 95.7 rating and 2 interceptions show why raw yardage alone doesn't tell the whole story.
👀 The missing names
The biggest statistical question is who isn't on the list.
Patrick Mahomes: 566 yards, 5 TDs, 1 INT and a 103.8 rating.
Jared Goff: 533 yards, 6 TDs, 0 INTs and a 113.2 rating.
Jalen Hurts: 467 yards, 5 TDs and 2 INTs.
C.J. Stroud: 627 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs.
Those numbers make the Top 9 much more debatable.
I think asking about efficiency, production, rushing impact, turnovers, or winning, is the fun part of these rankings — not just arguing about No. 1

Brees was a first ballot hall of famer. Young hasn't even been a top 10 QB in his career. Maybe a break out year for him. We will see.
