Arch-progressive Nikole Hannah-Jones decided to send her child to a failing public school, as an ideological statement.  The results were tragic.

A truly sad story.  But I'm wondering... why did she keep her kid in the bad school for so long!?  Surely, after a year or two you should have declared the experiment a failure and made a better decision for your child.
