Iran’s supreme leader is alive and healthy, the country’s president has claimed. Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen in public since the start of the war, which has lead to speculation about his health. The supreme leader is understood to have suffered severe injuries to his face and legs in the US-Israeli strikes that killed Ali Khamenei, his father, in February. However, Masoud Pezeshkian has insisted that Mr Khamenei is alive and has held meetings with him in recent months.
