If you ask @Solomonsatoshi he will have a lot to say about the sweetest revenge I have taken lol. Something to do with plans to genocide the Middle East so that Jesus can come back.
But all joking aside, I don't recommend revenge. It never feels good. You can take him to a court maybe? Getting back your money is better. Revenge is only good to make example of someone who wants to kill you so that others do not try.

I've always imagined it's unsatisfying to seek revenge. I want bad people to lose but I don't want to become a bad person in the process.
When we were left without a bathroom for 6 weeks, I motivated the contractor by letting it drop that we'd be doing a kitchen remodel soon, which made it clear that screwing us over could cost him another job. Miraculously, the bathroom was finished a week later, and we didn't hire him for the kitchen.
That's no fun.
But I suspect the reality is that most of us, including myself, don't actually enjoy revenge.
