As I said a month and a half ago:

Liquid things go first. Bitcoin, banks, high value information. Once all the low fruit has been plucked, other, lower value things are next. Especially: large repositories of data that can be held hostage. You're just seeing it here first. If you're in any other business that has any data (most businesses do) you're just down in the queue a bit.

And of course no one truly did this:

If I were working for any non-Bitcoin company, I'd be doing the beefing up right now. At full expense.

I know because I got exactly zero RFQs.

I think Japan is particularly fucked due to its combination of relative wealth, aging population, and terrible cybersecurity. Only thing that could save it is its persistent reliance on fax machines.

I think "terrible cybersecurity" is a global phenomenon. Out of over 200 clients I've worked with the past decade I remember exactly 2 where I was impressed by their security processes. What they had in common: security team under operations, no "CISO".
