My theory on Maye is the Seahawks secondary cracked the code on him in the Super Bowl and put it on tape for the entire NFL to see. Kind of like how a pitcher in baseball can tip his pitches, I think Maye is telegraphing where he is going with the ball. League has adjusted to him and now it is up to him to adjust to what the league is doing.
I said to my wife after the SuperBowl they ruined that kid. All the hype around him all year just to get undressed like that, that there was no way he'd go into the new season without the yips, and now they can't put down the shovel.
