I’ve noticed that merchants are very flexible, at least in my area. We’ve managed to onboard a relatively large number of businesses. Most of them are willing to accept bitcoin as long as we bring them customers and, ideally, are willing to exchange their bitcoin for cash on demand.
How would you know. There are very few places to spend Bitcoin besides places that let you spend Bitcoin as a novelty or as the whole raison detre of the shop.
There are almost no organic adoption merchants.
