All Lolly Point of Sale terminals in the UK now accept Bitcoin Lightning payments 🙌 a big step forward for adoption. Customers now have the option to pay for their purchases using bitcoin alongside conventional cash and card methods at all Lolly tills and kiosks. The solution arrived in UK when Square had already covered some shares of the market. Will merchants opt now for a local product instead of going for MADE-IN-USA?

  • ~225,000 customers (self-reported on their website)
  • ~$6.4M revenue, ~50 employees
  • 37% YoY turnover growth; 70% growth in the higher-education sector
  • Serves FTSE 100 companies, universities (e.g., Durham University with 90+ terminals across 30 sites), events, stadia, pubs, coffee shops, and corporate catering

The news also came out in BTCmag

CoinCorner, a global leader in Bitcoin and Lightning Network services, and Lolly, the hospitality software house, have joined forces to bring Bitcoin payment functionality to the LollyPoS platform, according to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine.
This partnership aims to transform the way payments are processed in the industry by integrating Bitcoin Lightning payments seamlessly into the existing infrastructure. Through this collaboration, the LollyPoS platform is now capable of processing Bitcoin payments for food and drinks, in addition to conventional payment methods such as cash and cards.

i'd love to hear a report from somebody who has successfully paid at one of these tills in the wild.

The world where we see slow steady progress in payment processors integrating lightning payments is a pretty cool one.

same here. most report I read are that merchants don’t even know that their terminals can accept bitcoin payments. Jack mallers has spoken about this a few times in that he was way too early for payments. and what his customers actually wanted was lending and credit products.
