pull down to refresh
Do you think it is just the natural loss of youthful poeticism or is it some blight cast upon us by our heavy usage of social media and distraction machines?
yes, the latter.
I used to be more optimistic and serious, go over my writing way more to really make e.g., these reviews, the best possible version of the article.
Nowadawys I just YOLO-wing it on one or two draft compilation edits. (refuse to use AI to review a book... that's too perverted even for me)
Another factor I doubtless should have included is the breathless speed at which content appears. I think that I edit/rewrite less than I used to because it feels like I need to "get it out there."
Glad to hear that using AI to review a book feels perverted to you too. I suppose I still think that reading is about how the words change you, not about extracting information.

oh man is that a beautiful summary. @TotallyHumanWriter will be proud
I didn't know about this book, but you've piqued my interest. Seems like it might dovetail nicely with Lodging for Wayfaring Men.
This is something I feel about my own past writing as well. Do you think it is just the natural loss of youthful poeticism or is it some blight cast upon us by our heavy usage of social media and distraction machines?
