Silent Payments allow receivers to publish a single static address without revealing public keys on-chain or reusing addresses.

My take:

  • Silent Payments eliminate the coordination overhead, round limits, and regulatory stigma associated with interactive CoinJoin pools.
  • However, the heavy scanning requirements for light clients mean running a full node becomes practically mandatory to track payments efficiently.

Do you see Silent Payments becoming the default standard for Bitcoin privacy, or will traditional CoinJoins remain necessary? Share your thoughts below! 👇
