Key Takeaways
- Baby Boomers hold $97.4 trillion, or 52% of U.S. household net worth, despite making up just 30% of households.
- Millennials and Gen Z account for 37% of U.S. households, more than any other generation, but hold only 11% of household wealth.
- American households are worth a combined $185.7 trillion, and more than half of that belongs to a single generation
C’mon, bitcoin, fuck the Boomers.
As a Boomer wealthy thanks in no small part to Bitcoin, thank you thank you thank you to all the Millennial Libertarians for pumping my bags :)
It was of course literally us fucking Boomers that created you bleating millennials.
Keep stacking children...the end of the petrodollar empire is nigh.
I don’t know that New Zealand boomers have much to answer for. You probably do, but I’m unaware of it.
Oh we are just the symptoms of a declining culture.
NZ clung to the coat tails of the British and then the US empires like a good subservient colonial - 5 eyes spy network lapdog, fighting in their imperial wars and supporting their monetary hegemony.
We got the USSRs encryption codes in a break in to the Czeck embassy in Wellington that helped hasten the fall of the Soviet regime.

Hard though to pin it on any one Boomer individual- perhaps more appropriate to point to the decline in moral values the and rise in greed is good individualism that tends to occur upon the decline of all civilisations.
I opposed the amoral neoliberal greed is good materialism that degraded and corroded our liberal democracies, societies and economies...you may see that as sinful...but it was what motivated me to accumulate Bitcoin as soon as I was aware of its existence.
Other than that I do not claim to be free of sin.
Sheesh what happened to go from 37% to 11%!! ??
Not very useful chart, imo, unless they compare to historical age distributions of wealth.
