Nice article. Perhaps you'd want to mention what runes are too (those are just like macaroons but without the MAC ;) together with some domain specific "restriction" language) Core Lightning uses runes a lot.

Thank you ! Just yesterday I was wondering what the macaroons are. And now the first thing I see when I enter SN is this. Is the universe wanting to tell me something? :) I am going slow but steady learning new lightning network things each day.
