Decided to take a trip to the beach yesterday after the hurricane came through the area. Thankfully it wasn't much of anything here, just a bit of rain and wind.

Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day. The waves were quite large, so it was fun to do a bit of body surfing. There were a number of fritillaries pollinating the flowers along the dunes. I've never seen anything like it before. Probably hundreds of them.

Always great when a trip to the beach offers a little something unexpected.
