Picked this morning in the field

A linguistic fact: pomegranate in spanish, "granada" means three things at once: the fruit, the city of Granada, and a grenade.

The city takes its name from the fruit, and the weapon too, because early grenades looked like one. One word, three worlds.

This one goes in my belly in a bit 🤠

I have a little pomegranate tree here in Austin, but it is not old enough to bear fruit yet. I'm excited for the day when I'm picking grenades.
