One match above all to open this week 3. Barcelona will play against PSG in Paris. The Catalans kept thrashing teams in la Liga. Last weekend, they kept their strike (9-0) with a 2-5 win over Real Betis. There was a huge controversy in that match as referee behaved oddly, disallowing goals for Real Betis while conceding others to Barcelona, that should have been disallowed. Also sent off a Real Betis player in a clash against Lamine Yamal. Interestingly, Barcelona plays against Real Madrid next weekend.
PSG comes from victory against Man City last week and I am sure that they will try to beat them. PSG has recovered in Ligue 1, where they drew first two matches and lost the third. They have added four wins in the last 4 matches.
Then two interesting matches, Liverpool vs Villareal and Stuttgart vs Atletico. In Anfield, both coaches know well as they shared a year in Rayo Vallecano in 2022-23. Iñigo Martinez, Villareal's coach was assistant to Iraola, before the latter left Spain for the Premier League.
Stuttgart has achieved 6 out of 6 points this year to stay at the top 8 as underdog. Atletico has been performing lately as usual, winning matches with very little but still winning.
Man City will seek revenge against AEK after losing against PSG last week. Porto will try to add their first 3 points against PSV. Bodo/Glimt visits Napoli and we will see if they can cause another upset this year.
The rest of matchups are:
- Fenerbahçe Slavia Praha
- Sabah vs Borussia Dortmund
- Roma vs Slovan Bratislava
Enjoy the Beautiful Game!
