Great match in Paris, where PSG beat Barcelona 4-2. First defeat for Barcelona this year and they only could score twice. First Hal was thrilling though goalless. Joan Garcia, Barça's goalkeeper made several saves which kept his team in the match. Before halftime, Doue scored the first goal for PSG. Second half, was different. Barça managed to equalize twice the score (2-2) but Vitinha, first, and Fabian, later, left the final 4-2.
Iraola's Liverpool beat 4-3 Villareal in an entertaining match. Man City thrashed AEK (5-1) and Dortmund won in Azerbaijan (1-2). Italian teams had a great night, though Napoli was closer to another surprise from Bodo/Glimt (4-3). Roma beat easily Slovan (4-0).
Other results were:
- Fenerbahçe 2-2 Slavia Praha
- Porto 0-1 PSV
- Stuttgart 1 - 1 Atletico

What’s with the shocking lack of draws?
Have Europeans finally realized that ties are lame?
Only in the matches where I choose them.
I think they've become jealous of all the winning America's been doing and want to try that for a change.
I think that it has to do with the change in format. With the previous one, a draw, especially away, was a good result. In this format, most of teams are trying to win to add points to reach the highest position. You can see this issue with the goals scored. Yesterday, teams scored 40 goals, above the 4 goals per game.
Four goals! That's madness. Everyone knows soccer games end with three goals scored.
PSG is in good formq
