I thought about setting up my own paid relay that would only accept notes that paid and were to my npub, but I wanted to make it as lightweight as possible.
I also thought about CLINK, but my ignorance (and laziness) probably stopped me from fully exploring it. How much more do I need to add to my website server to get it to use CLINK for this use case?
I agree that disabling the send button is not very useful. I want to get it to where it does not expose the npub to which you are sending the dm, and then disabling the send button starts to have teeth. The goal is to make it so that users don't know where my inbox is, and can only get a message to it by paying.
As long as I keep my npub hidden, I think I might be able to make it so that users can't actually get a message to me unless they pay. I create a unique npub for every message the user sends, so I'm thinking they won't have a way to find the note they sent me even if they know the relays I'm using.
Wouldn't need a website server at all with clink (other than the pub and relay... Or could skip the relay altogether for just a paid inbox).
You'd have your clanker install the clink sdk and give it a noffer. This can be particularly useful with simple static webpages on generic hosting, no extra standing process.
Noffer would take the payload and send it wherever you want, the clink receipt triggers whatever animation in the website desired... such as a button reveal.
If you kept it a nostr dm, then payload would be the senders key to whitelist.
Add a noffer to your nostr profile and you'll have this by default soon™️ https://zap.page/scoresby

Shame for not CLINK maxxing
Disabling the send button doesn't do much, need a whitelist only relay you listen for DMs on, payment whitelists the sender (CLINK fired hook to strfry plugin)
