I believe the next - Big Thing - in AI will be large language models, such as GPT-4, being able to use thousands of APIs. Ranging from Wolfram Alpha, via Google search, to livecams. Not only this, future software designers will know that AI would like to use their software and thus design the software to be as useful to LLMs as possible.

That's just the internet, and it can happen now.
Right now ChatGPT can buy and sell goods and use services through Amazon, Fiver, Uber, AirBNB, etc. It can make things happen in the real world by simply using all these services digitally.

I was always thinking about this, glad it finally worked.
WA is amazing, and it's been around for ages. It never went nearly close as viral as ChatGPT, but I reckon it should have been way more popular.

That's a nice article of the possibilities of combining chatgpt with Wolfram alpha
They opened a new world of possibilities with the plugins. A list of more plugins here https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt-plugins
This AI thing evolves almost as fast as Nostr ;)

I think that's just a step in between.
Sure, right now math feel like a 80/20 problem for chatbots that needs engineering on top of it (e.g. with Wolfram Alpha) . But it's only a question of time until the chatbots do this natively

Wolfram Alpha and ChatGPT might look similar in the surface but are very different in the inside.
ChatGPT really is a generator of text that makes sense. It doesn't necessarily have to be true, just that it reads fine. The problem with this is that the end result might be a text that reads fine but describes something that is simply untrue.
Wolfram Alpha on the other hand only produces true statements based on the underlying representation of math. The problem with this is that you might get something that is true, but not what you are interested in.
In the end, combining the two might produce very interesting results.

I know that.
Looks like you made this comment before reading up on how the wolfram alpha plugin for chatGPT works.
