Bitcoin is a monetary network backed and supported by energy.
For people to use it like a money and buy something with it... They have to know its a money first and appreciate the energy required to make it. Because otherwise why would they use it?
Energy-backed money is something our civilization has apparently forgotton and lost sight of - its the biggest single reason for bitcoin's lack of medium or exchange today.
The most secondary reason is the lack of privacy. Without knowing how UTXOs work you can mistakenly dox yourself when you spend. Lightning more or less fixes this but again if someone doesn't appreciate what bitcoin is at a basic level... How can they appreciate bitcoin enough to use lightning?
