is a type of catapult[5] that uses a hinged arm with a sling attached to the tip to launch a projectile. It was a common powerful siege engine until the advent of gunpowder. The design of a trebuchet allows it to launch projectiles of greater weight and/or at greater range than a traditional catapult
When I played age of empire this siege weapon dealt a ton of damage. A lot of history behind this weapon. First it was powered by men until the counter weight design came about which then labeled this the most powerful weapon of the Middle Ages. And I felt this in many of losses in AoE.
Ha ha ha, it hurt us all in one way or another.
