Social media is a plaque of humanity

I've been off Twitter for a while and I recently stopped using my Fediverse accounts. I've realised that social media is at best a total waste of time. Worse, I've seen plenty of people, who are nice IRL, become sociopaths on social media. At the moment, Nostr is little more than social media, and I want nothing to do with social media.

If someone ever makes a killer app for Nostr, I'll start using Nostr. But social media is not Nostr's killer app, despite what tons of people say. By comparison, the browser was the internet's killer app, not Usenet, the original social media. If someone doesn't make a killer app for Nostr soon, Nostr will go the way of Usenet.
