In Europe, when christianity was spreading, the various kingdoms adopted it. It was a way for them to stay relevant. I really believe that the spread of christianity and the spread of bitcoin has similar characteristics or something that could be interesting to study. Agree with thesis, but you are looking at the top late. 15 years after resurrection; Tiberius was an old, isolated emperor with functionaries running his empire.
Christianity was a crazy cult, only in Judea and Antioch at this point.
On this timeline we still have.
  1. Complete collapse of empire
  2. Heresies and copycats all over the place (perhaps the shitcoins?)
  3. Reemergence of the empire and intense pressure to snuff out the movement
  4. Constantine-like figure to use the movement to cement his rule.
