I live in a ski town and I am highly disappointed of what has become of our area of the town since the local resort and golf course got sold about 5 years ago. New company does a great job maintaining their revenue sources, golf course, event space, resort hotel but all the trails and greenspace that is part of their purview look like shit. They demolished an old tennis court that was in disrepair, which was good but then they just left the area as a big pile of dirt and the construction equimpent they brought in did damage to a paved trail and dirt area nearby and they didn't bother fixing it. There is a recreation centre that had a pool and some other fun activities for the kids but they haven't opened it since Covid.
I am sure part of it is being cash strapped by two terrible seasons during covid so I don't want to cast too much disparagement as maybe they planned to fix all this but had to put it on the backburner. Just disappointing to see such a beautiful area looking junky due to mismanagement.
