Mhh, that does not align with what I heard. It's more like 8-12 hours until a trip is over. According to my experience, 4 hours is peak, 6 hours is still tripping but less.

Did anyone ever say that this is not the case? People can tell their stories how LSD changed their life. To assume this means that this is the case for everyone is not the fault of the people who just told their story. OP said it himself: it's just anecdotal evidence.
